„A Picky Patient Finally Finds Love: Her Tenth Therapist Gets to the Heart of the Problem“
    Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 4:00 PM

We hope you will join us for this month’s free on-line webinar in our A Different Kind of Psychiatry Case Presentation Series featuring Chris Burritt, D.O. in a discussion with interviewer/host Susan Marcel, D.O. entitled „A Picky Patient Finally Finds Love: Her Tenth Therapist Gets to the Heart of the Problem” Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 4:00 to 5:00PM (EDT). During this presentation, you will have the opportunity to submit questions privately using the Q and A function on Zoom. Questions will be addressed during the Q and A portion of the webinar. Please note that as an attendee you will not be seen or heard on screen and you can choose to submit a question anonymously.
Beth, a 25-year-old woman, first began therapy when she started college. When she sought treatment with Dr. Burritt, she mentioned he was her tenth therapist. She complained about anxiety, insomnia, and melancholy and wanted relief. Although Beth came to Dr. Burritt asking for medication, she also said she wanted to “get to the root of things.”

Dr. Burritt’s treatment began by focusing on her relationships—with her prior therapists, with family, friends, and men, and her concern about the absence of romance in her life. During the first year of therapy, Dr. Burritt developed a solid foundation of trust and support with Beth that allowed her to finally deal with the heart of her problems.

Please join us as we learn about this young woman’s treatment and how Dr. Burritt’s methods helped her build the groundwork to tolerate expanded functioning in her work and love life.

The webinar will be facilitated by Zoom and will last approximately one hour. Attendance is free. Registration is required.
