Reichs DOR-Wolken hat bereits der Maler und Gesellschaftskritiker John Ruskin (1819-1900) beschrieben. Er, der „erste Ökologe“, nannte sie „Sturm-Wolken“ bzw. „Pest-Wolken“, dem ein „Pest-Wind“ vorangeht, eine Schwärzung der Landschaft. Siehe dazu seine beiden Vorträge The Storm-Cloud of the Nineteenth Century aus dem jahre 1884. One should also read Velikovsky, whose mid-20th century theory of astronomically induced catastrphes on earth included massive disruptions of global climate within historic or near-historic times. Velikovsky amnd several of the neo-Velikovskians who took off from him came very close to Reich’s thinking on climate, and some of the neo-Velikovskians, especially Theodore Lazar, were influenced by Reich and incorporated orgonomnic concepts into their theories of catastrophism.
Reich was an Anarchist for a time during his student days, before he became a Marxist, and he still thought highly of the Anarchist movement as late as 1948, when he corresponded on friendly terms with an Anarchist group in the Netherlands, so it is very likely he was familiar with the writings of Kropotkin.
