Please note that as an attendee, you will not be visible or heard on screen and you can choose to submit a question anonymously.
Mr. B, a 62-year old man, has been a patient of Dr. Marcel’s for over 25 years. Their doctor-patient relationship, with years of trust, patience and emotional contact, has given Mr. B stability and a way to express himself. He recently experienced severe health problems and contacted Dr. Marcel in deep distress, indicating he wanted to end his life.
Dr. Marcel used medical orgone therapy in the treatment of Mr. B’s depression and thoughts of suicide by addressing his character armor (he acted like a cool, controlling charmer) and muscular armor (he was blocked in certain parts of his body). His physical and emotional armor had previously protected him from the numerous physical and emotional abuses he experienced during his childhood.
Learn more about how deep emotional contact between Dr. Marcel and her patient protected him from suicidal impulses, therefore preventing a terrible tragedy.
