A Picky Patient Finally Finds Love: Her Tenth Therapist Gets to the Heart of the Problem
with Chris Burritt, D.O.
We invite you to watch our Case Presentation Series webinar video recorded on October 15, 2022, „A Picky Patient Finally Finds Love: Her Tenth Therapist Gets to the Heart of the Problem,” with presenter, Chris Burritt, D.O and interviewer/host, Susan Marcel, D.O.
Beth, a 25-year-old woman, first began therapy when she started college. When she sought treatment with Dr. Burritt, she mentioned he was her tenth therapist. She complained about anxiety, insomnia, and melancholy and wanted relief. Although Beth came to Dr. Burritt asking for medication, she also said she wanted to “get to the root of things.”
Dr. Burritt’s treatment began by focusing on her relationships—with her prior therapists, with family, friends, and men, and her concern about the absence of romance in her life. During the first year of therapy, Dr. Burritt developed a solid foundation of trust and support with Beth that allowed her to finally deal with the heart of her problems.
