„Identifying the Health In a Patient“
    Chris Burritt, D.O.

The American College of Orgonomy is hosting a new free webinar on Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 12:00PM (EDT) (see link at the bottom of this email to register). Chris Burritt, D.O., will present „Identifying the Health In a Patient.“ Following the presentation, Jackie Bosworth, M.D., will join Dr. Burritt for a discussion, during which you will have the opportunity to ask questions by on-line chat. The webinar is hosted by Dee Apple, Ph.D.

Dr. Burritt will be presenting two brief therapy vignettes to highlight the importance of identifying the emotional health in patients. Identifying and treating pathology has long been a staple of medicine in general and psychiatry in particular, but we find that by also identifying the areas where the patient possesses genuine emotional heath, we can have a fuller picture of the individual and an ally against debilitating anxiety, depression and other emotional illness.

Barry, a college graduate, was sensitive, tended to be stoic and saw things from a different perspective than others. He had an impulse to find his own path. Dr. Burritt discusses this patient’s final session in the context of appreciating and supporting the health of this patient.

Vince, an engineer, tended to take control and had a heightened sense of responsibility. He began therapy with Dr. Burritt when at a crossroads in a romantic relationship. Dr. Burritt discusses their first session together to demonstrate how he identified part of Barry’s healthy nature and what a difference that made for Barry’s treatment.

We hope you’ll attend the October webinar to hear more about Barry’s and Vince’s stories, medical orgone therapy and what it means to not only to see patients’ pathology, but also to clearly identify how they are healthy.

The webinar will be facilitated by Zoom and will last approximately one hour. Attendance is free. Registration is required.
