The ACO’s Case Presentation Series, A Different Kind of Psychiatry, continues with a free webinar on Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 4:00PM to 5:00PM (ET). Howard Chavis, M.D. will present, „Treating the Elderly: It’s Never Too Late to Start Medical Orgone Therapy“ in a discussion with interviewer/host Peter A. Crist, M.D. During this presentation, you will have the opportunity to submit questions privately using the Q and A function on Zoom. Questions will be addressed during the Q and A portion of the webinar. Please note that as an attendee you will not be seen or heard on screen and you can choose to submit a question anonymously.

Why did you choose to present this topic?

Dr. Chavis: “I chose to present this topic and these particular patients because it’s exciting and gratifying to see that medical orgone therapy can be effective in treating difficulties and problems even in later stages of life.”

Was your approach to treatment with the elderly similar to what it is with your other patients?

Dr. Chavis: “The treatment approach I use is the same no matter what the age of those who come to me: emotional contact, observation and identification and dissolution of obstacles—whether characteristic attitudes or muscular tensions (armor)—that stand in the way of spontaneous feeling and expression.”

What do you hope people will learn from your presentation?

Dr. Chavis: “I hope that people will see from the patients presented that identifying and alleviating armor is at the heart of what the medical orgonomist does to help people. It’s not magic. Seniors can benefit from treatment with Medical Orgone Therapy.“

The webinar will be facilitated by Zoom and will last approximately one hour. Attendance is free. Registration is required.

    „How I Became a Medical Orgonomist“
    with Chris Burritt, D.O.

We invite you to listen to the next episode of our A Different Kind of Psychiatry Podcast. This episode features an interview with Chris Burritt, D.O., our usual podcast host. This time, he is in the interview seat as he discusses with Peter A. Crist, M.D. how he first learned about Wilhelm Reich and orgonomy as a high school student. Three years later, while grieving the death of his mother and feeling lost, he began medical orgone therapy. His sessions had such a profound effect on his life that he decided to pursue a career in medicine in order to become a medical orgonomist and help others in the same way that his medical orgone therapist helped him.
