Wie ich glaube, kann DOR in kleinen Mengen immer auch spontan entstehen. Wenn aber UFOs existieren, können sie sehr wohl die Hauptursache sein.
Ich selbst habe noch nie eins gesehen. Auch war ich noch nie bei einer „Space-Gun“, d.h. Cloudbusting-Operation dabei. Daher kann ich Reichs (und Edens) Beobachtungen weder bestreiten noch bestätigen.
Was soll ich als „normaler“ Mensch, der bei diesen Dingen nicht dabei war, schon sagen?
Vielleicht folgendes: Auch Menschen, die über Orgonomie und Reich keine Kenntnisse haben, berichten gelegentlich vom atmosphärischen DOR. So schreibt Peter Scholl-Latour in einem Kapitel über den ehem. sowjetischen Teil Mittelasiens, welches sich in einem seiner neueren Bücher befindet, es sei dort obwohl meistens die Sonne scheine, meistens gleichzeitig ein leichter Grauschleier in der Luft.
In diesem Blog wurde – in diesem Zusammenhang – schon berichtet über die ehem. kommunistischen Länder, z.B. DDR. Aber der Kommunismus ist in Mittelasien abgesehen von Xinjiang-Uigur – dem chinesischen Teil – jetzt weg.

„DOR ist für eine Art „El Nino“ in Deutschland verantwortlich: ständige Westwinde, die verhindern, daß wir „vernünftige“ Sommer und Winter haben.“
Was hat das mit DOR zu tun? Die frischen feuchten Westwinde und das daraus resultierende, ständig wechselhafte Wetter sind doch gerade Ausdruck der Lebendigkeit unserer Westeuropäischen Atmosphäre. Wie Bedrückend ist dagegen das stationäre Sommerhochdruckwetter im Mittelmeergebiet – oder das kontinentale Klima in Zentralasien, siehe Davids Zitat von Peter Scholl-Latour. Das ist doch DOR! Da bewegt sich nichts mehr!

Ich habe an zwei Dinge gedacht:
1. durch die Schwächung der atmosphärischen Orgonenergie (DOR-Verseuchung) kommt es zum Verlust von komplizierteren Strömungsmustern (insbesondere solche von Osten nach Westen) und der vorherrschende West-Ost-Strom setzt sich durch. (Eine Umkehrung dieses Stromes findet sich etwa bei Bildung von Gewittern, während es bei Dürre nur den West-Ost-Strom gibt.)
2. die Witterung in Mitteleuropa wird zunehmend zu einem Einheitsbrei mit feuchten Sommern und warmen Wintern. Gut, daß ist alles andere als Dürre, ist aber in unseren Breiten ein DOR-Äquivalent. Das gemeinsame Funktionsprinzip ist die atmosphärische Stagnation.

Die Witterung ist, wie mir scheint, vor allem durch starke Schwankungen gekennzeichnet, wir haben momentan strengen Frost und für übermorgen (22.Dez.) ist schon wieder Regen vorhergesagt …

Bei aller Liebe zu Ostdeutschland war es immer faszinierend wie im im geteilten Berlin es quasi zwei Wetterlagen gab. Die DDR (Ost-Berlin) war oft mir DOR so voll, dass es dort fast immer einen Grauschleier hatte, der direkt bei der Mauer endete. Wettertechnisch ist das totaler Unfug, aber es war eigentlich deutlich zu sehen.

Ich habe auch noch kein Ea live gesehen, zumindest nicht so deutlich, dass ich sagen könnte, das war jetzt 100% eines. Dennoch fand ich Edens und Reichs Schilderungen absolut nachvollziehbar und habe keinen Grund zum Zweifeln.
Die „Space-Gun“ war eine Abwandlung des Clb; es wurde nicht in Wasser geerdet, sondern hatte das ORUR (das veränderte 1 mg Radium) zum Abzug benutzt. Vielleicht müsste man auch eher von Beschuss sprechen?

Das sind die vielen, vielen üblichen Hinweise und Anzeichen: Fotos von Weitem, gemalte Bilder, Erzählungen, Dokumente, die von Sichtungen und Erzählungen berichten. Alles sehr ernst zu nehmen, aber von „unwiderlegbare[n] Beweise[n]“ kann nicht die Rede sein. (Außer in Formalisierungen gibt es dergleichen vielleicht auch nicht; hängt von der Beweistheorie ab, die man zugrunde legt.) Was mich ziemlich nervt, ist der filmische Budenzauber, der die Behauptungen für mich eher weniger glaubwürdig macht: Science-Fiction-Musik und –Geräusche, ständiges Herunterbeten von Glaubensbekundungen und akademischen Stellungen, Tricks wie z. B. an der Stelle, an der es so aussieht, als setze ein von oben kommendes Ufo-Bein zur Landung an, das sich dann als Untersuchungsgerät eines Erdlings entpuppt. Kürzer, weniger inszeniert wäre mir lieber.

„Skeptics of the Roswell story often claim that interest in the event
dropped off immediately after its initial media flash, only to be revived in the late 1980s by unreliable UFO researchers seeking to profiteer from a myth of their own creation. Reich’s visit to Roswell, with its clear references to aliens, contradicts that assumption. So does remarkably strong archival documentation from several disparate sources that show the interlocking connection Reich and Dwight Eisenhower.
First in this line of documentation is the Cutler-Twining memo. The
National Archives in Washington, D.C. still contains this onion-skinned carbon of a memo calling for the postponement of a special studies section of the group MJ-12. Ufologists recognize MJ-12 as the group ostensibly started by Harry Truman in response to the Roswell crash, established to secretly deal with the alien presence. Skeptics claim that the documents reflecting this possibility, the infamous MJ12 documents, have all been faked. Nevertheless, the National Archives retains this one letter, unwilling or unable to establish that it is not authentic. Its date: July 14, 1954, five
months from Eisenhower’s supposed meeting with the aliens. Since no proof is absolute, even the government’s retention of the document (authenticated by paper-lot and typewriter style dating) for a half-century, skeptics suggest that the Cutler-Twining memo was smuggled into the archives. The author of the C-T memo, Robert Cutler, served in the CIA under Eisenhower in its division of psychological operations and as the first National Security Adviser, a post most recently held by Condoleezza Rice.
Cutler had virtually written Ike’s famous “ Atoms for Peace“ speech, which took as its title a phrase used by Reich long before to describe his orgone work. The recipient of the C-T memo, Nathan Twining, is well-known among students of ufology as the general to whom Air Force investigators regularly reported UFO sightings and retrievals. One such retrieval, involving flying saucers in the Maury Island area in the Pacific Northwest, also involved the kind of black substance that Reich had described at his lab in Maine. But the second curious document in this research line was recovered only recently by the researcher Jim Martin, as part of his comprehensive look at Wilhelm Reich’s life in the 1950s called Wilhelm Reich and the Cold War.
Entitled the Moise-Douglas memo, Martin discovered it in the archives of Lew Douglas, a member of Eisenhower’s „kitchen cabinet“ who was assigned to a presidential committee on weather control. In Contact With Space, Reich claimed that he had corresponded with Douglas, and Martin discovered this memo as proof. It’s from Douglas describing the latest of several failed
attempts by Reich’s assistant, William Moise, to make contact with this high-ranking official in the Eisenhower administration. Although the memo itself is not dated, a handwritten note at its bottom indicates a great change of heart by Douglas, Who ultimately did telegraph Moise on July 27, 1954.
This timeline is the best indication in the historic record that MJ-12
existed and, by inference, that Eisenhower met with aliens. Douglas‘ about-face with regard to Reich, coming at any point in July 1954, indicates that he had been briefed at the MJ-12 meeting described in the Cutler-Twining memo. The Object of the „Special Studies Project“ mentioned in the C-T, then, would be Reich’s counterattack on UFOs, and at it Douglas was directed to take a greater interest. In the end, Douglas wound up bankrolling in part some of Reich’s environmental work in Tucson. As some measure of how seriously
the military took Reich’s technology, the U.S. Air Force actually did develop a weather modification in the early ’60s and named it the „Cloudbuster.“
Finally, there’s Reich’s own meeting with Eisenhower. One witness
claimed that during a hunting and fishing trip to Rangeley, Maine, where Reich’s Orgonon lab was located, Eisenhower met face to face with the inventor of the anti-UFO technology. The Eisenhower Library even records a visit to Rangeley during that UFO-laden period of the mid-1950s, from June to July, 1955. In the end, however, the memory of the witness to the meeting became as vague as that of the dentist’s widow from Ike’s alien visit of the
year before.“

„Dwight Eisenhower’s contact with aliens happened in February 1954, according to the legend. The president’s cover Story — that he was on vacation in Palm Springs — was belied by the fact that he had just returned from a vacation in Georgia. Even newspapers of the day reported the alarming news of a total disappearance by Ike on the night of February 20 during the Palm Springs stay. The official explanation, offered after the fact, was that the president lost a tooth cap in some chicken he was eating and had to make a late-night visit to a local dentist. Evidence of this does not appear in the existing, extensive medical record on Dwight Eisenhower from his time as
president, however. The widow of the dentist had only vague memories of the event, which by any measure should have made a detailed and lasting impression, and a photograph exists of Ike on Sunday morning, February 21, shaking hands with a pastor Blackstone, smiling, none the worse for wear after the dental work.
Was Ike actually flown to Wright Patterson Air Force Base that night to view the recovered saucer from the crash at Roswell and the alien bodies, as the persistent rumors go? Enter Wilhelm Reich. In the course of his UFO adventure, Reich traveled through Roswell, New Mexico the following year. He was on his way to Tucson, Arizona with his orgone equipment, to both Study its capacity to alleviate desert conditions, and to do battle with UFOs. He recorded these experiences in his last book, Contact With Space, now an extremely hard-to-find underground classic. Although his immediate destination was Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico for an overnight stay on his
way to Tucson, there seems little doubt that Reich had aliens on his mind as he passed through Roswell.
From Contact With Space:
‚Although it was very hot as we neared Roswell, New Mexico,
no OR flow [OR was Reich’s abbreviation for orgone] was visible on
the road, which should have been shimmering with ‚heatwaves‘.
Instead, DOR [Reich’s abbreviation for „deadly orgone radiation,“
which he came from the exhaust of UFOs] was well-marked to the west against purplish, black, barren mountains, in the sky as a blinding grayness, and over the horizon as a grayish layer.
The caking of formerly good soil was progressively characteristic
and eventually caked soil prevailed over the vegetation, which now
consisted only of scattered Iow brushes, while grass disappeared.‘
Reich’s concern about the environmental impact of UFOs stemmed
from experiences he had at his lab in Rangeley, Maine, called Orgonon. It was there, in 1951, that he first discovered DOR, the noxious reaction of the natural energy he called orgone with nuclear material. He put a milligram of radium into one of his orgone boxes, an invention he created to accumulate and harness the Orgone energy, It resulted in highly polluted air around the facility, with a great deleterious effect on fauna and animals. The DOR clouds formed and an odd black substance fell on the area. Strange, red
pulsating lights, UFO, appeared in the sky over Rangeley. In response to all of this, Reich came up with a second invention, the cloudbuster gun, which intensified and redirected the healthy orgone, causing the pulsating lights to twinkle out and diminishing the DOR effect on the environment. The Roswell episode in Contact With Space concludes, „After the desert valley it was a relief to spend a night in Ruidoso, New Mexico, in the Sierra Blanca Mountains (near 7000 feet). Here a strong, reactive secondary vegetation had sprung up, again more marked on the western slope…“
